<p>Hi,</p>
<p>Once upon a time we had a beautiful painted mailbox&#8230;</p>
<p>A friend of mine went to this fun workshop where she designed and painted a new mailbox that showed the world her personal style, so she decided we should paint ours.</p>
<p>That was a time&#8230; when mailboxes held letters. You know, real letters &#8211; I&#8217;m talking about the paper kind &#8211; addressed to you and written by someone you know, by hand. Letters that probably held news, thoughts, and a genuine interest in your life. Questions to be answered and perhaps love to be returned.</p>
<p>&#8230;Those were the days&#8230;heartfelt cards in the mail from another human being, pen pals, &#8230;the &#8220;just thinking about you&#8217;s&#8221;</p>
<p>Fast forward a bit through time&#8230; And even though we still get mail, because junk mail is so ubiquitous, you&#8217;re more likely to believe your name is Householder or Occupant!</p>
<p>And if you&#8217;re like me, you&#8217;d probably agree how today, with so much junk mail (it&#8217;s probably safe to say 80-90% of most snail mail is unsolicited junk mail), a thoughtful postcard or greeting card is like a breath of fresh air, wouldn&#8217;t you?</p>
<p><span id="more-314"></span>Writing someone a note or sending a greeting card by good old fashioned snail mail is almost a lost art &#8211; with people and businesses now using email to fire off a quick e-greeting card or note instead.</p>
<p>And sadly, in my personal experience, electronic greeting cards or notes sent by email hardly have the same (lasting) effect as a personalized physical piece of mail that you can hold tightly in your hands.</p>
<p>I send cards to friends and business acquaintances all the time. And it&#8217;s a pretty regular thing to hear them tell me they were touched when they got my card.</p>
<p>One woman I know told me tears rolled down her eyes as she read my card again and again sharing it with everyone in her office. Then she tucked it safely in her purse so she&#8217;d remember to bring it home, where she now keeps my card in plain sight.</p>
<p>Look, it&#8217;s true that we are busy people, and handwriting a note takes time, not to mention trying to get to the post office and battling the lines within a single lunch-hour.</p>
<p>Still, Maya Angelou said it best: &#8220;I&#8217;ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.&#8221;</p>
<p>We all have a wonderful power&#8230; the power to make someone feel better.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s why I want to share a Web site with you that combines the ease of electronic communication with the immeasurable gift of sending someone a handwritten note&#8230; so that you can easily bring more joy to more people.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s called SendOutCards and it lets you send cards &#8211; remember, real paper cards &#8211; in your OWN handwriting, complete with your own digital pictures that you upload to their servers.</p>
<p>Another thing I like is that the SendOutCards Web site lets you keep all of your contacts in one place, making sending those birthday cards, holiday greetings, thank you cards, marketing messages, even postcards from wherever you&#8217;re on vacation, a cinch.</p>

<p>Naturally I use it myself regularly, and actually I&#8217;ll send you card&#8230; So if you want a little more &#8220;personal mail&#8221; to come your way, just leave me a comment with your address (which will remain private between you and me) and you&#8217;ll get a hello from me by &#8220;snail mail&#8221; using SendOutCards.</p>
<p>Now, at this point SendOutCards either sounds too good to be true, or maybe I&#8217;ve made it sound harder to use than it is (but you want to know the truth? You can just as easily use Send Out Cards to send an old fashioned paper greeting card in an envelope with a stamp as you can fire off an email &#8211; and it&#8217;s just as fast)&#8230;</p>
<p>So really why not check it out for yourself&#8230; and send someone important to you – maybe your spouse, partner, child, sibling, parent or closest friend, a heartfelt card.</p>
